About these cards
Alex Hurlburt, like myself, is a graduate of Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. He has a degree in biology & musical performance, and a currently works with Drosophila (fruit flies) researching cancer. He enjoys photography and writing on the side.
Each card features his photographs, which were edited and arranged by me, as well as his own lyrical words.
We wanted to produce a set of cards that felt timeless and evoked familiar sentiments of warmth, closeness, jubilation, transition, and peace. I chose to granulate parts of each image in order to mimic old photographic plates, while keeping other selections crisp to bring a modern element.
